Past Continuous

• Past continuous: iets dat in het verleden een tijd heeft geduurd. ( wij waren aan het ... )
• Example: My sister and I were crying because the hero died.

Past simple vs. past continuous

- het verschil -

• Past continuous: iets is in het verleden bezig
• Past simple: toen iets anders gebeurde
• Hetgeen dat dus als eerste gebeurt (en een tijdje duurt) krijgt de past continuous
