Leadership is the act or process of influencing, guiding or controlling group of people or society to work together towards the attainment of a common interest.

The word leader is derived from the root word (Lead)
To lead means, to direct, guild or influence others to follow a common ideology. Therefore, a leader is someone who influences others to work together as a team with the aim of achieving a common goal or interest

The word follower is also from the word "follow" to follow means to allow yourself to be guided or directed by someone who knows your path. Therefore, a follower is someone who allows him or herself to be directed or guilded by a leader towards the attainment of a common goal.
