Task 1
Research, produce, and deliver a presentation on the importance of storyboards in fiction film
production and other types of media productions e.g. advertising, TV, music video etc. This should consider the process and techniques of storyboard production and outlines the key features that you will include in a storyboard portfolio suitable for your group’s short film project. How effective are storyboards in communicating technical information to a crew? Critically evaluate your examples to determine how style and genre are communicated effectively.

  • Analyse the implications for different departments acting as hypothetical producers. 
  • Tip: Think about what you would need if you tried to make it.  
  • You will have 10 minutes to discuss ideas and each group will have 3 minutes to share ideas.
