Present Perfect:
- Something happened in the past and the result can be seen in the present
- Conditions and experiences happened in the past but still influence the present

Irregular verbs: have / has + past participle
Regular verbs: have / has + past participle
call- I have called home.              eat - I have eaten too much.

Past Simple:
- An action happened in the past and is now complete.
- Signal words: last night, this morning, five minutes ago, etc. 

Irregular verbs: learn by heart from the list
Regular verbs: verb + -ed

Walk - I walked home. Drink - I drank Fanta.
