Follow the instructions

- Draw a horizon
- Set up a vanishing point
- Draw a letter (or multiple letters)
- Make the letters 3d!
- All receding lines go your vanishing point

1 point perspective
A way to transfer an image of the real, 3D world, to a 2D sheet of paper by using a vanishing point. 

All receding lines go to the vanishing point.

This is central perspective
  • the vanishing point is the height of the eyes of the person who draws.
  • all vertical lines stay vertical
  • all horizontal lines stay horizontal
  • only the receding lines, go into 'space' (or depth) and end in the vanishing point

Assignment
Draw a room using one point perspective


Steps
  • Start with a central vanishing point
  • Draw the walls/ceiling/floor
  • Furnish the room the way you like, use your imagination or copy your own bedroom. 
  • Use an HB pencil to draw, use coloring pencils when you are satisfied with the drawing. 

Requirements
  • The perspective is correct
  • The drawing is original
  • Draw 5 different elements in the room (Bed, desk, chair, bookcase, bedstand, tv, dressoir, etc.) 
  • Draw at least one window with a view.
  • Use an HB pencil
  • Use coloring pencil to finish it
