We gebruiken conditionals in het Engels om aan te geven dat het waarschijnlijk / onwaarschijnlijk is dat iets gaat gebeuren

If it rains, I'll stay at home (waarschijnlijk)
If I won a million dollars, I would buy a new car (onwaarschijnlijk dat ik zoveel geld ga winnen)
