  • A = the word after the article starts with the sound of consonant (b,c,d,f,g,h..)
  • An = the word after the article starts with the sound of a vowel (a, e, i, o, u).
plural (=meervoud) -->  some/ any 
  • Some: positive sentences
  • Any: negative/ question sentences
