form of a verb (ww) that is used as a noun (znw) rather than as a verb, without
a form of to be.

• Na de specifieke werkwoorden 
avoid, consider, give up, go on, keep, manage, mind, prefer, recommend, start, stop en suggest

  • Na uitdrukkingen en voorzetsels

Wanneer je gebruik je to+ het hele werkwoord?
• Na werkwoorden die een wens uitdrukken (wish, hope, want, dream, desire)

• Na werkwoorden die een bevel uitdrukken (demand, forbid, prohibit, allow, restrict)

We use the infinitive without to after modal verbs can, could, may, might, will, shall, would, should, must:



She can sleep in the guest room tonight.
