Racism

“The belief that people’s qualities are influenced by their race and that the members of other races are not as good as the members of your own, or the resulting unfair treatment of members of other races.”

Stereotype

A stereotype is a fixed, over generalized belief about a particular group or class of people. By stereotyping we think that a person has a whole range of characteristics and abilities that we assume all members of that group have.

All blonds are not smart.

Girls are not good at sports.

Mexicans are lazy.

All teenagers are rebels.
