Conjunctions

A conjunction? 

A conjunction is a type of word which can put two sentences or phrases together. 

They can really spice up your speaking/writing!

Notice the difference:

Sophie said she did not want jelly on her sandwhich. Sophie also said she did not want cheese on her sandwhich. 


Sophie said she did not want jelly on her sandwhich nor did she want cheese. 

If you are fluent try these:

Notice the difference:

The rain was pouring down but we still went outside 

Although the rain was pouring down, we went outside anyway

Choose 3 conjunctions you want to include in your speaking/writing more often
