Je gebruikt will + hele werkwoord als:

- iemand een voorspelling doet zonder dat er bewijs is.

- iemand iets van plan is / een beslissing maakt en dat op dat moment aangeeft.

Will + hele werkwoord

Iemand is iets van plan / maakt een beslissing

Marly: "Let's go on holiday with a nice group of friends!"

Patrick: "What a good plan! We will invite our dear friends to come with us!"

--> Patrick geeft het op dit moment aan --> will + hele werkwoord

Iemand een voorspelling doet

I think that the weather will be fantastic tomorrow

--> Er is geen bewijs --> will + hele werkwoord

Je kunt will ook afgekort of ontkennend gebruiken in een zin:

Afgekort

I will --> I'll

You will --> You'll

He will --> He'll

etc.

To be going to + hele werkwoord

Je gebruikt to be going to + hele werkwoord als:

-iemand een voorspelling doet en er bewijs is.

-iemand iets van plan is / een beslissing maakt en dat al vaststaat / eerder is afgesproken.

To be going to + hele werkwoord

Iemand is iets van plan / maakt een beslissing

Frits: "Patrick told me you're going on holiday."

Marly: "Yes, we are going to invite our dearest friends to come with us."

--> Het is al eerder afgesproken --> to be going to + hele werkwoord

Iemand een voorspelling doet

He read that the weather is going to be great next week.

--> Er is wel bewijs (hij las het / ziet het gebeuren) --> to be going to + hele werkwoord

That dog is seriously injured and is breathing heavily. It looks like it ..... (to stop) breathing any minute now.
