The main charachteristics:

• Located between 10o NL  and 10o SL
• Always warm (higher than 18o Celcius)
• A lot of precipitation (2000 mm per year)
• The forest is heterogeneous
• The biodeversity is high
• The trees grow in different layers
• The trees are always green
