Gathering and structuring

In the previous lesson...

You started with 

* Taking a text apart into paragraphs

and

* Adding titles

But were you already pleased with the paragraphs?

Or did it feel like something was missing?

Instruction 1

We are going to take apart the writing about the bicycle even further and create a mind map with all the information that we have.

Students need something to write on. I would choose an empty sheet of paper

Make a mindmap 

Of everything you know (from your own writing) about the bamboo bicycle; take 5 minutes 

Time timer in screen or ...

Include information from the website to add to your mind map.

So you have more information for writing longer paragraphs

Take 10 more minutes for research

Instruction 2

Change the structure 

You can use your mind map to re-arrange the information for the paragraphs. By now you may have sentences in your head so you can start a Word document.

Word document! How do we do this? 

***You often end with the title of the whole essay***

But you can start with the new paragraph titles or the sentences that you have in your head :) 

Must do:

* Use an online version of Word and

* Share with Ms Backx and your beloved classmate who gave you feedback during previous lesson. 

** Use the rest of the hour **
