Adjectives & Adverbs

Adjectives = bijv nw

Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord gebruik je om iets of iemand 

te omschrijven. Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord wordt vaak gevolgd door een zelfstandig naamwoord.

That is an amazing girl.

We all love that funny movie.

I think he is a terrible teacher.

Adverb = bijwoord

Een bijwoord gebruik je om aan te geven HOE iemand iets doet. Een bijwoord omschrijft vaak een werkwoord, maar ook een ander bijwoord, een bijvoeglijk naamwoord of de hele zin.

                                             

                                          Mary sings wonderfully.

                                My grandparents talk incredibly loudly.

                 I am eating an amazingly delicious steak right now.

1. One student will come to the board and choose an adjective or adverb from today’s lesson.

2.  The rest of the class will guess the word letter by letter.

3.  If you guess wrong too many times… you lose! 

4. Need a hint? The student at the board can give one! 

5.  When the word is found, we’ll use it in a sentence together!
