What do we call this tense?

Present Simple!

De present simple gebruik je bij handelingen die je altijd doet of regelmatig doet (of juist nooit doet) of iets wat een feit is. Vaak staan er ook worden zoals "always, never, every day."

Bevestigende zin:

He likes school.      They always go to the gym.

Ontkennende  zin:
He doesn't like school.               They never go to the gym.

 

Vraagzin:       Does he like school?

Mick always......to school.

Present continuous!

Present continuous gebruik je bij handelingen waar je op dit MOMENT mee bezig bent. Je bent het "aan het doen" Denk aan woorden zoals "right now, now, at the moment."

He is walking to school.

He isn't walking to school.

Is he walking to school?

LET OP!

Om irritatie aan te geven gebruik je WEL de present continuous bij het woord ALWAYS.

Bijvoorbeeld:

My little brother is always crying during the night.

Wat ga je doen?ex. 1,2,3,4 (unit 1.2)

Hoe ga je het doen? alleen
