Part 1: Grammar

(Don't worry, it's mostly a repeat of what we covered before Christmas)

Add a question tag: He is very happy

Used to confirm a question

He is very angry, isn't he? - Hij is erg boos, of niet?

Subject and Auxiliary Verb switch around

They are happy, aren't they?

Postive becomes Negative, Negative becomes Positive

He isn't very smart, is he?

If there is no auxiliary verb, use a form of 'do'

He walks to school, doesn't he?

The correct order for a normal sentence is as follows:

Who-What-Where-When

Word Order: Question

For a question, the standard word order is as follows:

What-Who-Where-When-?

For example:

You are staying at home today.

Becomes:

Are you staying at home today?

(There are a few different question types, we'll get into those later)
