Reformers criticized the Church and they wanted change
  • Did the pope agree with them?
  • Christians now had a choice: stay faithful to the pope (Catholics) or support the reformers (Protestant)
  • They are many kinds of Protestants because each reformer had his own ideas --> so you could become a Lutheran, Calvinist or something else
