...I can explain why the song "Op en neer" by Snollebollekes it an excellent example of a combination of a 4/4 time signature and a 6/8 time signature. 

4/4 and 6/8 - what is the difference?

4/4 time signature

• Upper 4 = four beats in one measure
• Bottom 4 = quarter note is 1 beat

6/8 time signature

• 6 = six beats in one measure
• 8 = eighth note is 1 beat

Snollebollekes - Op en neer

The song "Op en neer" by Snollebollekes is in 4/4..

But then something interesting happens.

After they say: "inhaken!" the time signature changes to 6/8.

You can recognize this by the well-known "heen en weer" feeling. This is actually what they say in the lyrics as well! 

After that the music accelerates (it speeds up) and turns into a 4/4 time signature again.
