Wanneer gebruik je de present s

Je gebruikt de present simple als iets altijd, nooit of regelmatig gebeurt.

Je kunt dit vaak zien aan signaalwoorden zoals: always, sometimes, never etc.

Voor I, you, we and they gebruik je enkel het hele werkwoord (- to). 

Welke signaalwoorden kennen jullie nog meer?

Shit regel:

Bij he, she en it komt er een -s achter het werkwoord.

Present Simple: Bevestigen

Aiden watches Stranger Things every Sunday.

My cat regularly tries to scratch me when I pet it.

Uitzondering shit-regel:

Eindigd het werkwoord op een sisklank? + es

watch --> watches, fix --> fixes, wash --> washes. 

Eindigd het werkwoord op een medeklinker + y? -y +ies. 

try --> tries, cry --> cries, enjoy --> enjoys

He ... to a museum almost every weekend.

Present simple: bevestigend

He goes to the museum almost every weekend.

The child has a lot of toys.

LET OP dat je onregelmatige werkwoorden juist vervoegd!

To go --> goes (not gos)

to have --> has (not haves)

Present Simple: Vragend

Verander de volgende zin naar een vraag:
I like him.

Verander de volgende zin naar een vraag:
She thinks English lessons are difficult.

Present Simple: vragend

Do I like him?

Does she think English lessons are difficult?

Wanneer je de present simple in een vraag gebruikt, doe je:

vervoeging van to do + onderwerp + hele werkwoord (zonder 'to'). 

Let op! Bij he/she/it vervoeg je enkel de vorm van 'to do'.

Present Simple: ontkennend

Maak de volgende zin ontkennend:
I think pianos sound beautiful.

Maak de volgende zin ontkennend:
The horse finds dogs scary.

Present Simple: ontkennend

I do not think pianos sound beautiful. 

The horse does not find dogs scary. 

Wanneer je een zin in de Present Simpel ontkennend maakt, doe je: Do/does + not + werkwoord
