Past Simple  - Vraagzin

1.  My friend was in London.

2. They were happy to go back home.

3. I could take photos during the party.

4. I enjoyed the summer holiday.

5. I went to Spain last week.

Past Simple - Ontkenningen

1. She was in Italy last week.

2. They were happy to leave France.

3. Liam stayed at a fancy hotel.

4. We drove through London. 

Je gebruikt de Past Simple als iets gebeurd is in de verleden tijd en ook beëindigd is.

Past simple = Verleden tijd

Past Simple - afgelopen handelingen in het verleden

Past Continuous 

 - De duurvorm (aan de gang) in de verleden tijd​

- Wordt gebruikt om aan te geven dat een handeling aan de gang was in het verleden  &  een langere tijd duurde. ​

​Bijv:​

1.    They were reading a book by the pool. 

2.   I was watching a good film yesterday morning.

Hoe maak je deze tijd?

2 werkwoorden   

was / were   +   ww -ing

bijv:

1. I was singing.

2. You were writing.
