Korte herhaling Present Simple

De present simple maak je simpelweg met het hele werkwoord (+ s bij he/she/it):

I work

She works

We work

It works

Wanneer gebruik je de Present Simple?

Als iets dat altijd/vaak/meestal geldt, los van tijd:

- Water boils at a 100 degrees
Het is een gewoonte:
- I usually get up at 7.00 AM.
- Harry always cycles to school.
- They play football on Thursdays.

De Present Continuous

De present continuous (iets aan het doen zijn) maak je met een vorm van to be + ww + ing

Iets is op dat moment aan de gang.
- Peter is cycling to school right now.
- What are you doing? I’m calling my mum.

Bevestigend: I am working
He/she/it is working
You/we/they are working

Vragend: Are you working?
Is he working?
Am I working?

Ontkennend: I’m not working
He’s not working (he isn’t working)
We’re not working (we aren’t working)
