For gradable adjectives like  good, funny  (better - best)

• very, extremely, really, particularly, terribly (emphatic/ om iets te benadrukken)
• quite, pretty, fairly, rather ( weaker than very)
• a bit

• I though the story was a bit silly.

intensifying adverbs

For non-gradable adjectives like freezing, marvellous, amazing, etc.

• absolutely, completely, really
• It's absolutely delicious.

Pairwork: tell your partner a story about an event or situation in the past. Use at least 10 extreme adjectives. Exaggerate as much as possible.
