and what makes you different from someone else

So, we are individuals, with our own IDENTITY, but we also belong to (more than one) GROUP.

Your identity is everything that makes you who you are and everything that makes you different from someone else.
For instance: name, age, fashion, length, religion, nationality, hobbies, ideas, values, education, skin colour, etc.
We also belong to more than one group: family, class, city, religion, sports club, country, etc. Every group has its own identity as well. We feel a connection to other people in our group.
We are also Europeans.
And the ancient Greeks have played an important part in that identity. Many things that the Greeks have invented are still part of our lives today, even if we do not realise this. The next slides show you some examples...
