Lesson goals

• At the end of the lesson, the students can write at least 5 sentences in the past tense. 

What do we know

Past simple - When something started and also ended in the past. 

Past continuous - To say that something was going on for a longer period of time. Can also happen during something else.

Present perfect - When something happened in the past but you don't know when.

For example

• Past simple - He played tennis last week.

Regelm. Ww.: werkwoord + ed (walk = walked) | Onregelm. Ww.: Buy = Bought, Sing = Sang

• Past continuous - When the phone rang, she was writing a letter. 

I/he/she/it + was + werkwoord + ing | You/we/they + were + werkwoord + ing

• Present perfect - He has played a tennis match.

She/he/it + has + volt. Deelw. |  I/you/we/they + have + volt. Deelw.
