Je gebruikt de verleden tijdsvorm (werkwoord + ed / 2e vorm) om aan te geven dat de actie werd onderbroken.

when (toen) -> onderbrak de actie -> je gebruikt dan het werkwoord + ed / 2e vorm (or. ww)
