How are you? 

After today's lesson.... 

- I know what we're going to do in the second term. 

- I know when I'm due to present my topic from the English Speaking World, and what is expected of me. 

- I can understand information about deep fake videos, and I know how to recognise them.

THE SECOND TERM

- One lesson of eighty minutes and one of forty minutes per week

- Chapter 3 and 4

- One SO about chapter 3.

- One Listening/Watching test

- For half of the class: speaking assignment ESW (other half: 3rd term)  

- One test in the test week

Enter two things: 

- Whether or not you want to present in front of a smaller group.

- What you'll be talking about. First one who enters a subject gets to keep it. 

- I will check the spreadsheet regularly

- Also in your mail: an overview of 99 things that you can talk about. 
- Want something else? Ask for permission first! E-mail me or just ask. 

WHEN? 

- The presentations are planned in a week, not on a date. 

- They will always be in the LONG lesson of the week, so the one that lasts eighty minutes.

- Currently, the long lesson is on Friday, but it could be moved to a Monday at any time. So, make sure you're ready to present on the Monday of the week in which you are to do your presentation. 

- Do NOT leave it until the last minute, start now! 

NEXT FRIDAY 

- I have a day off on Friday due to my parents' 60th wedding anniversary, so that means your long lesson won't take place and I won't schedule any mentor / coachhours. 

- The FIRST part of Friday's lesson will take place under the supervision of another English teacher. 

- I want you to work on your presentation. 

- Use this time to decide on a topic, start your research, draw up an outline 

of what you want to include in your presentation. 

- Don't forget to fill in your topic in the spreadsheet! 

DEEP FAKE VIDEOS 

- Turn to page 138

- Do exercise 5

- Then read exercise 6. We're going to watch two videos in a row. What will you have to do for each video? 

- I will ask one of you to explain this to me. 

- We'll do 6 while watching the video, and 7, 8 and 9 after

Homework 

Revise (herhalen) all the irregular verbs on page 233

I won't be here on Friday and as far as I can tell, there won't be another teacher supervising this lesson. 

This means that your next English lesson will be a week from today.  You will get to see your tests then.
