Slide 4 - Diapositive

Lets Review
The hands on the clock:
  • The short hand on the 10 is the hours

  • The long hand on the 2 is the minutes

  • The skinny hand just past the 6 is the seconds

Slide 5 - Diapositive

How to count minutes and hours
  • To find the hour, look what 2 hours the short hand is in between, the hour is the number the short hand just passed. For example, if the short hand is in between numbers 2 and 3 it is 2 o'clock because it hasn't reached 3 yet.
  • To find the minutes, count by 5 minute increments starting with the number 12 being 0. Number 6 is 30 and when you reach 12 it starts over at 0. There are 4 tick marks in between each 5 minute increment.
