• +1 cm2 cheatsheet = you get to make a cheatsheet for a test. This starts being 1 by 1 cm. Everytime you earn this it gets 1 cm bigger to a max of 4 by 4 cm.
• 1/3 +0.5 = If you earn this 3 times you get to add 0,5 to one of your biology marks.
• Snitch = You can pick a classmate who also is checked for homework, you earn two V's (having 3 earns you a 1/3 +0,5)
• Too bad = You only get one V

• 45 min extra worktime = you need to come after school and do homework, this will last for 45 min or until the task is done
• Coloringpage = You get to pick a coloringpage, You need to color it and perform tasks that might be on it. You need to hand it in during the next lesson, If you don't you get 2 marks.
• 2/1 marks = a mark is an X, if you get 3 of these you will automaticly earn the 45 min extra worktime.
• Snitch = You can pick a classmate who also is checked for homework
• Lucky! = You don't get a penalty

Taste is an important part of food. But often the texture of food also plays a big role in people liking or disliking food.

What sense in the mouth perceives this part of food?

A scientist is investigating a piece of the skin of an animal,
he researches the different layers of the skin.

Which type of receptor will he probably find first when he start on the outside of the skin and moves further inwards?

Leprosy is an illness in which bacteria infect the nerves in the skin. This results in people with leprosy losing their ability to feel things.
Explain why leprosy has this effect on their ability to feel

Brain

Here impulses are received and sent.

The brain decides what needs to be done with impulses coming in

It can make you react, it can also ignore impulses

The brain can send impulses to effectors to make you respond.

Spinal cord

Impulses from most nerves first enter the spinal cord, before being sent towards the brain.

When the brain sends impulses they usually first move through the spinal cord, before going to nerves.

In some cases impulses coming from sensory organs are directly sent towards effectors (without first going to the brain), this is a reflex

Nerves

Nerves connect the central nervous system to sensory organs and effectors.

Nerves are a collection of many nerve cells that together send impulses to all parts of your body

You touch your bike, and you feel that it is very cold.

When you put on your clothes, you feel them go against your skin.
A little later you are no longer aware of the 'feeling' of your clothes on your skin.
