Planning:

•  Pre-reading activity: statements --> agree or disagree?
• Read the text on your own
• Read the text again (grab your marker, highlight the linking words + sentences)
• While-reading activity (in groups of 4): do the questions and explain HOW you found the answers.
• Post-reading activity: Make a four-slide PPT about the text.

                       Chocolate is better than candy.

       Working as a chocolate worker must be easy.

                   Chocolate is bad for your health.

            Chocolate can be eaten during lunch.

Read the text (individually)

Read the text again

- grab your marker

- mark the linking words

- mark the important sentences from each paragraph

Make groups of four:

- each person makes the questions

- Once everyone has finished his/her question, you explain to each other HOW you found the answer.

- try to explain it in English.

Post- reading (in groups)

Make a four-slide Powerpoint about the text.

Every person makes ONE slide.

On each slide, there should be at least two important sentences in your OWN words about the text.
