Wanneer gebruik je de Present Continuous?

1. Wanneer iets altijd, nooit of regelmatig gebeurt.
2. Wanneer iets nu bezig of aan de gang is.
3. Wanneer iets in het verleden is gebeurd.
4. Wanneer iets in het verleden is begonnen en nu nog bezig is.

Present continuous:
Pick the present continuous.

1. We are eating lunch at the cafeteria.
2. They have eaten lunch at the cafeteria before.
3. She ate lunch at the cafeteria.
4. He has eaten lunch at the cafeteria.

Present continuous

1. aan te geven dat iets NU aan de gang is. Signaalwoorden zijn o.a: "now, at the moment, listen..." enz.

2. aan te geven dat je iets van plan bent. Meestal staat er bij wanneer je in de toekomst dat van plan bent.

3. irritatie aan te geven

Maak de present continuous door: vorm van 'to be' (am/is/are) + ww+ ing

Wat is de regel van de present continuous?

1. ww + - ed
2. shit = bij she/he/it : ww +-(e)s
3. vorm van to be + ww+-ing

What is the Past Simple?

Past Simple 

verleden tijd

Things that happened in the past. Het is al gebeurd. 

Past Simple is te herkennen aan tijdsaanduiding: yesterday, last week, last year, three days ago. 

I play tennis -> I played tennis yesterday

He watches a movie -> He watched a movie three days ago

We are visiting my uncle -> We visited my uncle last week

How to make the Past Simple?

Werkwoorden krijgen -ed  in de Past Simple. 

let op de spelling van werkwoorden die eindigen op -y.  

staat er geen klinker voor, dan wordt -y -> -ied. Wel een klinker ervoor, dan wordt -y -> -yed.

werkwoorden die eindigen op -e worden ->  + -d

to talk -> we talked

to try -> I tried

to play/enjoy -> she played / she enjoyed

to love/bake -> you loved / you baked
