Tegenwoordige tijd > Present simple

-Iets wat vaak gebeurt. (I always work in the weekend.)

-Feiten. (She works in a hotel.)

Maar waarom voeg je een "s" bij het werkwoord?

Werkwoord + s

I play tennis.

She plays tennis.

It plays tennis.

Onvoltooid tegenwoordige tijd > Present continous.

Iets wat nu gebeurt. (The sun is shining.)

Iets tijdelijks wat niet persé nu gebeurt. (I am reading a book by Paul van Loon.)

Irritaties over een gewoonte van iemand (She is always leaving the lights on.)

Am/are/is + werkwoord+ing

Praat je over jezelf - I am playing a game.

Over meerdere personen - They are playing a game.

Over She-He-IT - She is playing a game.

De Present Simple

-als iets een feit is

-als iets regelmatig gebeurt

Je maakt de present simple door:

I/you/we/they + werkwoord

(I/you/we/they - walk)

he/she/it werkwoord + (e)s

he/she/it walks

De Present Continuous

-als iets nu gebeurt 

-als iets vaak gebeurt waar je je aan ergert

-als iets in de nabije toekomst plaatsvindt.

Je maakt de Present Continuous door:

I am + werkwoord + -ing

I am walking

you/we/they werkwoord + -ing

you/we/they are walking

he/she/it is + werkwoord + -ing

he/she/it is walking

He ... the flowers (to smell)
