In short: Thanksgiving
- Celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November in Canada and the US
- A day to be grateful for the good things that have happened over the year (traditionally religion was very important as well)
- First celebrated in 1621 when the Pilgrims celebrated their harvest
- People gather and have a feast with their families, there are parades and football games
- Traditional foods eaten on Thanksgiving are pumpkin pies, apple pies, roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce
