My Ameland story

For the first time as a teacher, I went to a school camp with my pupils. I was quite nervous but also very excited because I would have a chance to get to know them on a personal level. On Monday morning we gathered at the Holwerd harbor to jump on the boat and our school camp had begun! Our accommodation was very clean and there was enough room for everyone. The first night we played a pub quiz and during the day we took a trip to the forest and the beach. I was so proud when I saw my pupils on the beach, running towards the sea to have a swim in the freezing cold water! But we had to hurry for dinner, so René took the lead and we were back at the accommodation in no time! I really enjoyed this school camp and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
