Heaven

- Eternity: promise of good life after death which will continue for eternity

- Parables: Heaven is difficult to imagine, so Jesus told stories about them to help you imagine it.

Hell

Almost nothing in the Bible about what it looks like. 

- Free will: God does not want to force people to love him (back). 

Stages

Protestantism

Millenialism: different ideas about the stages in which Jesus will come back to Earth. 

Ways to go to heaven: Death or Rapture

In heaven, people will get a new body.

Roman-Catholicism

Cleansing of sins in Purgatory.

If you're too full of sin, you will have to go through purgatory to be cleansed before you can enter heaven.

Prayer for the souls in purgatory. 

Reunited with body after return to earth.
