Comparatives: To compare things we use "as" or "than"

Adverbs

To compare two actions we use:

• comparative adverbs (often ends in ly). She speaks English more fluently than her sister
• less + adverb:  She works less quickly than you
• (not) as + adverb + as:  Your dog doesn't  eat as much as  my dog!

My car drives fastly than yours

Hard ... Harder

She fell hardly from her bike than I did, she really injured herself.

Adjectives

To compare two people, places and things we use:

• comparative adjectives: A bus is bigger than a car
• less + adjective: A Hoorn is less busy than Hong Kong
• (not) as + adjective + as: This year's  school camp is not  as exhausting as the previous one.

Something that is superlative is the highest possible quality it can be. It can be the best, the worst, the tallest, or the most important — if it can’t be more, it’s superlative.
