Around 200bc Rome started to expand their influence to the east.
146 BC Greece was conquered
30 BC Egypt was conquered
Between 58bc and 52 General cesar conquered Gaule (france, Belgium and the Netherlands).

-Because of this Roman Civil wars broke out.
-The most succesful General was Julius Ceasar. He forced the senate to appoint him dictator

-The rule of capable emperors.

-Roman armies could travel with the help of roads to each corner of the empire. They could restore order.
