kunnen / in staat zijn t.t. (simple present) - I can do this / I am able to do this v.t. (simple past) - I could do that / I was able to do that andere tijden - vorm van 'to be able to' - I have been able to do this. - I had been able to do that. - I will be able to do that.

maar 'might have' kan ook betekenen dat het niet zeker is of iemand iets wel of niet gedaan heeft, let dus goed op context!
