Wat heb je nu geleerd ?

• Je geeft aan dat je wat aan het doen was in het verleden 
• je gebruikt hiervoor de past continuous
• Je legt de nadruk op dat het al een poosje aan de gang was 
• Als er dan tegelijkertijd iets anders gebeurt dan gebruik je daarvoor de past simple 
• Meestal staat er dan een signaalwoord in de zin: while of when
