Een videoclip is een fantastisch en essentieel middel om een song onder de aandacht te brengen! Heb je als artiest een bijzondere videoclip bij een song, dan heeft dat een positieve invloed op hoe je muziek ontvangen wordt door fans en journalisten. We kijken er een paar:

Een clipmaker aan het woord

Om een goede videoclip te maken moeten de beelden interessant zijn om naar te kijken en goed passen bij de

muziek. Dit kun je op veel verschillende manieren doen. Bekijk deze lesvideo waarin regisseur Kevin Boitelle je vertelt hoe welke manieren er zijn en waar je vooral goed op moet letten bij het maken van een videoclip

Beeld en muziek: samen één geheel.

De inhoud van de tekst, het ritme en sfeer van de muziek, de beelden, de montage: alle elementen vormen één geheel.

Als je een clip maakt, is het belangrijk om van tevoren een "ontwerp" te maken, zodat al die elementen een geheel vormen.

Kijk eens naar de volgende clip en let eens op het ritme van de muziek en het ritme van de montage.

Maak een je eigen videoclip

Doorloop het stappenplan hierna (en op werkblad) om zelf een videoclip bij jullie song/track te maken. Heb je betere ideeën dan die hier genoemd worden? Doe er iets mee, want het beste idee bevindt zich out of the box!

GROEPJES MAKEN

Onder begeleiding van je docent maken jullie productie groepjes.

OPDRACHT

Kies een nummer waar jullie allemaal blij mee zijn.

1 | BEDENK HET VERHAAL

- Wat gebeurt er in het verhaal? 

Omschrijf het begin/ midden/ einde

- Weet je niet waar het verhaal over moet gaan, probeer dan eens in contrasten te denken; ruzie/vriendschap, verdriet/blijdschap, groot/klein, fantasie/realiteit, enzovoort.

- Hou het simpel!

2 | BEDENK PERSONAGES

• Welke personages komen in het verhaal voor? Welke relatie hebben ze met elkaar?

• Wat voor soort kleren hebben ze aan? Attributen? Looks?

• Welke karaktereigenschappen hebben ze? Hoe gedragen ze zich? Welke emoties vertonen ze? Lichaams- en gezichtsuitdrukking?

• Wat doen ze? 

3 | LOCATIE

• Op welke locatie(s) speelt het verhaal zich af? Denk aan toestemming!

• Zijn de personages onderweg (bijvoorbeeld in de bus naar school), of kies je 1 plek?

• Vaak zijn meerdere locaties interessant: bínnen en buiten

4 | STORYBOARD MAKEN

Van ieder ‘shot’ (ieder camerabeeld dat vanaf dezelfde plek gefilmd is) maak je een tekening. 

Bedenk bij ieder shot HOE je je verhaal in beeld wilt brengen.

• Welke kaders gebruik je, wat wil je wel/niet laten zien?

• Welk perspectief gebruik je? (Kikker- of vogelperspectief?)

• Denk aan het gebruik van close-ups (van dichtbij) en long shots (van ver weg). 

• Denk aan de beweging van je camera: staat de camera stil op een statief, staat de cameraman op een skateboard of beweegt de camera van boven naar beneden?

5 | PRE-PRODUCTIE

Hoe breng je het project tot stand? Zorg ervoor dat je (de producent) alles goed voorbereid en geregeld hebt.

De producent is ervoor verantwoordelijk dat het script dat de regisseur gemaakt heeft helemaal gerealiseerd kan

worden. Wat je als producent allemaal aan moet denken: apparatuur, locatie(s), acteur(s), crew, props, wat is het

budget? Weet je niet meer wat deze onderdelen precies zijn? Kevin legt het je uit in dit gedeelte van de lesvideo.

HUISWERK

Maak de pre-productie af met je groepje.

Maak samen een lijst met alles dat nog moet gebeuren en verdeel de taken.
