Booking confirmations:
After they made the reservation, the passenger will receive a booking confirmation, also known as:
 itinerary / ticket receipt / booking confirmation

This confirmation contains a booking number, under which the booking is being found:
Passenger Name Record (PNR) or reference number

Tickets:
  • Tickets are  now always  e-tickets (electronic/digital ticket  (ETKT)
  • They are proof of a booking/payment for the flight
  • E-ticket is a confirmation, but not a valid boarding pass.
