Past continuous

Past continuous (duurvorm)

Gebruik: 

Past simple: eenmalige gebeurtenis of situatie in het verleden.

Past continuous: iets wat op een bepaald moment in het verleden bezig was. 

In combinatie: dat wat bezig is, in de past continuous, wordt onderbroken door iets anders, in de past simple.
