During Taaldorp, you have to demonstrate in 4 different situations that you can manage in English. 

For some people, this is more difficult than for others. Sometimes it is useful to have some "tricks" up your sleeve to make yourself understood in English.

2. Vocabulary.
3. Grammatical correctness.
4. Pronunciation and fluency

Tip 4: Use opposites

Describing something is easier when you know opposites. 
 
For example: You're at the travel agency and you're about to book a trip. You think the trip is too expensive, but you can't think of the English word, but you do know what 'cheap' means!
 
Then you can also say: "That is not cheap!" or...
if you don't know the word 'cheap': "That is too much money.''

Tip 6: Watch and listen as much English as you can
  • Watch English movies and TV shows.
  • Practice conversations through video calls with classmates or friends.
  • Check YouTube for interviews with fun English-speaking musicians, actors, and other interesting people.
  • Repeat to yourself what you hear in videos. It may feel strange, but it works wonders!
