• Advocating for interests of member airlines. Engages with government, regulatory bodies. 
• A platform for colloboration among airline members. Provides forums and conferences
• Environment sustainability - works towards reducing carbon footprint

Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

• the Health and Safety Executive is a government owned agency (public sector)
• their main aim is to protect people while carrying out their jobs
• they are responsible for the encouragement, regulation and enforcement of workplace health, safety and welfare, and for research into occupational risks in Great Britain
• it also carries out extensive research into occupational risks in UK work places
  
• it works closely with the CAA to manage the risks to health and safety in the air transport industry.
• HSE provides regular updates on health and safety issues that occur commonly in the aviation sector. (Please see issues on next slide)
