Future examples

• To be going to          (look at those clouds it is going to rain.)
• Will                                (Shall we go by taxi?)
• present simple       (The bus leaves at 3pm.)
• pres. continuous   (They are visiting Camberra this summer.)

Articles

We use 'The' to talk about specific things or a group as a whole. 

Example: The book was exciting to read.

                     The Australians are tough to beat at rugby.

Articles

Do not use 'the':

• after: both, all and most
• for titles, for example Prince Harry
• for continents, streets, lakes, organisations etc. (check p. 93 of your Textbook)

Like and as (vergelijkingen)

Like:

Voor zelfstandige naam woorden ( It tastes like chocolate.)

Voor voornaamwoorden ( She looks like you.)

 As:

Voor bijzinnen (It often rains here, as it does in Amsterdam.)

Met voorzetsels (As in 2014, the band topped the charts.)
