We use 'The' to talk about specific things or a group as a whole

Example: The book was exciting to read.
                     The Australians are tough to beat at rugby.

Do not use 'the':
  • after: both, all and most
  • for titles, for example Prince Harry
  • for continents, streets, lakes, organisations etc. (check p. 93 of your Textbook)

 As:
