PRESENT SIMPLE AND PRESENT CONTINUOUS REVISION

Present simple

Use: 

- facts, general truths

- actions that happen regularly

- habits

Form: 

I / you / we / they:   infinitive (hele werkwoord)

he / she / it:   infinitive + s / es / ies

Present continuous

Use:

- something that is happening at this moment or around this time

- future arrangement: when you have already decided and arranged to do it

Form:

am / is / are    +     verb + ing

Imagine you are on holiday. 

• Write an e-mail to your friend. 
  
• Write about your holiday. 
  
• What do you usually do? 
  
• What are you and your family doing at the moment.

CREATIVE WRITING

1. Write about your passion or favourite hobby. Describe why you love it so much.

2. Write about your future plans. What would you like to do once you graduate from the Willem?

3. Write a short fictional story. This can be anything you want (murder mystery, fantasy, science fiction).

4. Write about your autumn holiday plans. What do you have planned this upcoming week?

Write about one of these topics for 15 minutes. After that, you are going to swap papers/laptops with your neighbour.
