Present Continuous

We gebruiken de present continuous als iets NU bezig is:

I am talking right now.

Let op signaalwoorden: now, right now, at the moment, currently, look!, listen!, today

Vorm: 

am / are / is + ww + ing

She is sleeping now.
Listen! They are singing!
I am reading a book at the moment.

Hoe zien de zinnen eruit?

vraag: 

Is she sleeping now? Are they singing? Am I reading a book at the moment?

antwoord: 

Yes, she is / No, she isn’t. Yes, they are / No, they aren’t. Yes, I am / No, I am not.

ontkenning: 

She isn’t sleeping. They aren’t singing now. I am not reading a book right now.

Spelling

Ing-vorm maken:

am/are/is + ww+ing: am doing, is walking, are working, etc.

-e: making, baking, having, giving, etc (e valt weg!)

korte ww met 1 klinker: stopping, cutting, swapping, etc. (extra medeklinker!)

y: studying, playing, enjoying (blijft dus staan)

Sommige ww nooit in de continuous!

be, like, hate, wish, know, seem
