Let me tell you my view on this:

What is important to me is that:

everybody in the class, including the teacher, feels 

+ good , having your own place (a chair, but also socially)       

+ safe to say things and not being laughed at 

A little more information about myself.

My hearing is not great. On the contrary: I will sometimes not understand what you are saying.

Now and then I will ask you to repeat what you just said.

Doing a good job as a teacher will only be possible with your 

help!

My expectations:

I expect you to 

1. speak clearly, when talking to me or to somebody else

2.  work quietly, no loud talking but just whispering 

    (fluisteren) to your neighbour.

-  Notebook: A4 sized with grids of 1cm x 1 cm

    Why this?

    Grids are helpful for drawings.

    The A4 size is good for bigger maths drawings.

                                           a  lot of math!

I look at it this way:

It is not important to be good at maths.

It is important to get better at maths!

Because that means that you are learning.

I hope all of you get good marks.

However in order to get good marks you have to 

do good work!

In the coming lessons it will become more clear HOW to do this.

Open your Mathsbook 1A on page 12/13. Let's read it together.

After this §1.1 on p.14-17 is due (= aan de beurt).

We will go through the content rather slowly.
