Wanneer gebruik je Past Continuous?

  • Je gebruikt de Past Continuous om te zeggen dat iets in het verleden een tijdje duurde of een tijdje aan de gang was. 

  • Het verschil met de Past Simple =
  •  Past Simple gaat om een moment, terwijl de Past Continuous gaat over een langere gebeurtenis.  De acties onderbreken elkaar!

  1. was hoort bij enkelvoud (I, he, she, it)
  2. were hoort bij meervoud en bij you (you, we, you, they)
