- Wat is een betrekkelijke voornaamwoord?

• Een betrekkelijk voornaamwoord verbindt twee zinnen met elkaar.

Relative pronouns verbindt zinnen met elkaar of geven extra informatie.

•  je gebruikt who bij personen.

Voorbeeld:

The boy who works at the restaurant is nice.

The girls, who are best friends, are working together.

2. Whose: 

•  je gebruikt whose om te zeggen dat iets van iemand is en bij bezittingen.

Voorbeeld:
Ray, whose job it is to clean the canteen, wasn't at work today.

I am looking for the girl whose car is blocking my front door.

3. which of 4. that: 

•  je gebruikt which of that bij dieren en dingen.
• Je gebruikt which als je de extra informatie kan weg laten

Let op! That kan je alleen gebruiken in plaats van who of which als er geen komma voor staat!!
