Irregular verbs

In a regular form we use -ed after the verb to make the past tense and the participle.

I worked hard - I have worked hard

                   But in irregular verbs everything is different

Irregular verbs: some examples

To see: I saw / I have seen

To draw: I drew / I have drawn

To begin: I began / I have begun

To leave: I left / I have left

You must learn all these forms.

Important: 

I will see you at twelve on Friday.

(meaning: I saw you on Monday, but not after that)

Using: for / since

              We have known each other since 1970.

   since: + exact point in time

   for: + period
